Reinstall

The clean path when something no longer works as before - or simply when you want to start from a known state.

Simple reinstall

If the app still works but you want to reinstall (for example after a deliberate downgrade), just download the DMG, overwrite TokenEater in Applications, and relaunch. Your preferences are kept.

Clean reinstall

If the app shows persistent bugs, frozen data, or any suspicious residual state, a clean reinstall is safer:

  1. Run the full clean (bash script that removes everything)
  2. Download the latest release
  3. Drag TokenEater into Applications
  4. Follow the standard Installation procedure
  5. Re-add widgets if needed
Save your custom theme and pinned preferences before a clean reinstall. The full clean removes everything - you really start from zero.
